Filiz Bikmen

GiveIndia
GiveIndia is India’s biggest online donation platform, which allows people to support a cause of their choice from about 200 charities that have been scrutinized for transparency and credibility. It does not raise funds for itself but helps people donate to other non-profit organizations. It also creates feedback reports for donors and carries out follow-up work to ensure that at least 90% of a person’s contribution reaches the organization they support.

Karla W Simon (西 门 雅) is professor of law at the Catholic University of America. She has dedicated much of her career to the creation of an enabling environment for civil society and philanthropy. Having worked in China for over 16 years, she has participated in three significant projects for the Ministry of Civil Affairs, taught comparative civil society law at Peking University (Beida) for two semesters, and spoken at numerous conferences in China on civil society law.
